Proper instruction for Back-Bends

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Many people think that backbends are bad for their back and very difficult to do.

We are here to tell you that is not true if done with proper instruction!!

When the spine is in a backbend, the spine moves into the body; therefore, bulging disk can find relief.  Also, if you learn how to go up in a backbend using the back plane of your body, it will feel like you are just floating up with ease.

Hard to believe? Joyce Savitz can teach you how to do back bends properly. You will be amazed how good you will feel when you do back bends with proper instruction.

There have been several articles in Yoga Journal about the benefits of doing backbends properly.

After experiencing what “using the back plane of the body” you will understand on a deeper level what is being taught by fellow Anusara Teachers such as Desiree Rumbaugh (wrote the most recent article in Yoga Journal on backbends).

Contact Joyce at Jacksonville Yoga to find out when her next session including back bend instruction will be held.
