Posture Wellness Classes at

Our posture makes all the difference in how we age.

In these past two years, I have learned for my self as well as my clients how we sit, how we sit down, and how we get up can save our backs, knees, feet, and hips.

Crouching Cat pose - Power Through Posture classHow we hold our ribs can save our shoulders, our necks, arms, hips and lower back.  The breath makes all the difference in how we are able to support ourselves.  The Latin meaning of breath is Spirit.

What saddens me is seeing so many people my age and younger walking with a limp and grimacing as they go to sit or stand.  Also, it does take a little time to break our old patterns that are thousands of years old.

The more we start to repattern our old neuropathways,  the more we save ourselves from aging “dis-ease”.

These simple foam rolling techniques, when properly performed will rehydrate the connective tissue, to restore muscular and joint function.

Joyce Savitz will be teaching this Workshop, sharing her knowledge and experience from over 30 years of being involved in different movement therapies.

Rehydrate, Roll, and Yoga

Based on the concept shared in an article in Prevention magazine, Joyce and her students have confirmed that these simple foam rolling techniques can reduce muscle fatigue and soreness; significantly enough that the following workout actually feels easier!

And proper foam rolling performed as part of your cooldown actually helps to reduce occasional post exercise discomfort.

Joyce’s students have told her how the foam rolling techniques that she has shared with them have also helped to ease many of their aches and pains (by improving blood flow; rehydrating and restoring muscular and joint function).

Often, people who do not learn these simple foam roller techniques tend to press too hard on their rollers, in an effort to get relief from their pain. Pressing too hard on their rollers can be painful; the pain relief is not achieved.
